Pappersrosor är ett av mina favoritpyssel. De är väldigt enkla att göra och går att variera nästan i oändlighet. För miljöns skull föredrar jag att använda återvunnet papper, sidor ur gamla böcker, noter jag inte längre behöver eller packpapper. Jag har till och med testat med förbrukade kaffefilter och det gick lika bra!

Boksidor och notblad går utmärkt att måla med vattenfärg för att få mer färgglada rosor. Jag föredrar att måla innan jag börjar klippa, men det går egentligen lika bra att måla efter. Var bara noga med att låta dem torka ordentligt innan de limmas.

Recycled Roses

Making paper roses is one of my favorite crafts. They are easy to make and can be adapted for lots of different styles and uses. For the sake of the environment, I prefer to use recycled paper. I’ve made these with old book pages, sheet music, packing paper, and even already used coffee filters. Pages from a magazine, comic book, children’s book, or atlas would work as well. If you want something more colorful, use watercolors either before or after cutting the petals.

How to make a paper rose

Materials needed:

• Three sheets of paper
• Scissors
• Gluestick
• Something to curl the petals, I use a small paintbrush

1. Fold the page diagonally twice and then in half.
2. Cut a shape like an ice cream cone. Repeat so you have three cones. Cut a small bit of the tips of.
3. Unfold the three cones. Cut one petal off the first, two off the second and tree off the third.
4. Glue the pieces together, all except the single and double petal.
5. Curl the petals around something round and thin, like a small paintbrush. Stack the pieces into a rose.
